Comskip appears to skip edl

I have a process where I use a program called mcebuddy to assist in the transcode of windows media server videos (.wtv) to mp4. All mcebuddy is called to do is use comskip to get chapter marks and convert the video name into something acceptable for Plex.

The output of that is sent to a folder where fileflows can get to work.

Recently I have noticed fileflows is unable to see or merely skips the edl, thus no comskip chapter marks.

I am not certain if this has to do with the container type or not. Any idea what could be happening here?

Also, another issue with this and a few other videos (should I do a separate post??). For some reason the video processing is ending early. The trt for this video is just over 2 hours, but processing is ending at 1 hr 23 minutes.

I figured out why the video processing is "ending early". A little adjustment in fileflows on when processing should begin took care of that issue.

whats the comskip file called? should be the same as the working file but extension of .edl instead of the video extension.

If yours is different, I can update this to check for more file names

Correct. The edl has the same name as the video file.

Don't know what mcebuddy is. So it's log is of no use to me....

All fileflows is doing is looking for a file in the same directory as the working file with the edl file. Has to be exact same filename

I added that snippet just to show you the name of the edl is the same name as the video file and both are placed in the same directory.

For some reason, in some cases, fileflows does not see the edl file.

Very odd.
