unRaid high CPU usuage, 1 runner...

I've recently moved my setup to unRaid, I'd installed Intel GPU Top and added --device=/dev/dri to the extra parameters. It seems to be utilising the GPU for h264 to h265 conversions, this is causing extremely high CPU usuages 90%+ loads, with only 1 runner. Any ideas??

Also, I've added an external node which the machine that has an NVIDIA GPU. I've used the "hevc" codec and left the parameters blank, which I was expecting to see the NVIDIA card first on the external and QSV on the internal. But in this instance only the QSV is working, with external invoking -hwaccel cuda.

I was under the impression that it would try for NVIDIA and QSV first? If I've missed something in the Node setup, please let me know.

assuming the iGPU is actually being used, then whatever CPU usage intel is using to encode is how much it uses. out of my control.

Regarding Video Codec plugin. there was a "bug" where the parameters were required, ive just pushed an update 1.0.10.480, so download that version of Video Nodes from the plugins page, that will allow parameters to be blank and use the codec field. or you can set the parameters to also the same string as the codec.
