Set Default Language

There are some files I have where one language is set as the default audio track (i.e. French). I would like to change it so that English is the default track. Is there a way to do this, because I'm not seeing an option? I thought moving the English track to be first would solve it but it actually doesn't change what language is flagged as default.

If you use the FFmpeg Builder: Track Reorder node, and the tracks are reorder (next version wont require them to need a reorder), the first audio track will be marked as the default.

Next version I've also updated the documentation in the node to state this.

Still trying to figure out FileFlows and wanted to make sure I have it configured right before running. I don't want to screw up thousands of episodes.

So I have the original file and the first thing that happens is Metadata (images and additional metadata) is removed. After that it does a Track Reorder making sure English is the first audio track (thereby making it default).

Once that's done it moves onto subtitles where it makes sure English is the first (and presumably default) track. QUESTION: is it possible to set a FORCED subtitle track as first?

Moving on from there it changes any non-MKV file into an MKV file before replacing the original.

Does this look accurate? Any suggestions if this isn't the proper way of doing it?

yes that looks right.

currently the only way to set the "force" track as the default subtitle would be through a function (or script) and manually loop through the subtitles looking for a forced one and setting it as default (would have to set others to not default as well).

but as always, just use a "Copy to" during testing and copy files to a dump directory to ensure FileFlows is producing what you want before letting it loose on all your files.

This doesn't seem to be working, at least for the subtitles. I have a foreign video that only has its native language and the first subtitle track is that language. I have it set so English is supposed to be moved to first but that doesn't happen... it stays at the second spot. I've removed "en" and just left "eng" to see if that would help but it didn't.

Any ideas?
